Make Story text easier to read with outlines, shadows and backgrounds
Busy backgrounds can make text disappear into a photo. Start with the right color and placement, then decide whether an outline, shadow or background will help. Stacking every effect at once usually makes reading harder.

Outlines for mixed light and dark backgrounds
White text can vanish against a bright sky. A dark outline helps define its edges. Start thin and keep the spaces inside each letter clear. Thick outlines on small text can make strokes run together.
Shadows for a sense of depth
Hard shadows work well on short headlines, adding direction and depth. On very busy photos, a shadow alone may not be enough. Try a background instead, or move the text to a quieter part of the image.
Backgrounds for longer captions
The plant shop example uses a light label behind dark text to separate the headline from the leaves. Leave padding around the words, but keep the label small enough to avoid covering the subject.

Pick a template or Inspiration Wall style, or adjust the outline, shadow and background yourself. Check the preview after each change so the effects stay balanced.
Check it on your actual photo
